Railways in the North American Landscape (Amberley)

2 In Stock

Mike Danneman, former art director of Trains magazine, has produced a wonderful collection of photographs covering North America, which he took between 1988 and 2018.

In the introduction he explains how his outlook to photographing trains was formed and the enjoyment he gets out of capturing the spectacle of the railway as part of the scenery.

Arranging the images largely from the east coast to the west, his photographs feature railroads surrounded by the very varied landscapes through which they traverse. The trains featured are mainly freight and are portrayed in a wide range of scenic panoramas to great effect. 125 colour photographs. 128 pages.
