Over 40 Years in Railway Publishing
Platform 5 Publishing is an independent publisher of railway books and magazines. Our first `Motive Power Pocket Book’ was published in 1978. Since then, over a million of our pocket books have been sold. Today, our guides to Britain and Europe's railways are widely used as a source of reference by railway enthusiasts and throughout the railway industry.
Today's Railways UK and Today's Railways Europe
In 1994 we launched "Today’s Railways – The European Railway Magazine", the first mainstream English language railway magazine devoted exclusively to railways in mainland Europe. This was followed in 2001 by "Today’s Railways UK" (originally Entrain),our sister magazine covering all the best of Britain’s Railways. Both magazines are still published every month and continue to go from strength to strength as "Today’s Railways Europe" and "Today’s Railways UK".
