With London Underground: the Jubilee Line Jonathan James has compiled an illustrated history of the Jubilee Line of the London Underground. It describes of the construction progress of the line, starting with stage 1 between Baker Street and Charing Cross, and the takeover of the existing Stanmore branch of the Bakerloo Line. Also described are the various schemes of the 1970s and 1980s to extend the line into London’s East End, with several maps and diagrams showing the never realised proposals. Following on from this is a description of the Jubilee Line Extension of 1999, which brought the line to Stratford, via Bermondsey and North Greenwich. There are also chapters on the line’s depots and sidings, stations, and train fleets past and present.

Approximately 100 photos, mostly colour. 128 pages.
