This book has been published to mark the centenary of car ferry services between Portsmouth and Fishbourne on the Isle of Wight, opened by the Southern Railway in 1926.

The Fishbourne route is historically the youngest of Wightlink’s three crossings between the mainland and the Isle of Wight, having been established nearly 100 years after the Lymington–Yarmouth service, but is today by far the busiest route. The book looks at each of the vessels to have operated on the route, from the wooden tow boats pulled by a tug in the early days of the service to the latest addition to the Wightlink fleet, the eco-friendly vessel “Victoria of Wight”.

Illustrated with around 200 colour and black & white photographs. 96 pages.
