This is a fascinating collection of photographs of buses operating on the Isle of Wight and across the south coast from the late 1980s to the present day, loosely covering the area between Dorset and East Sussex.

A variety of operators and vehicles are illustrated, including some older buses on regular service routes and in preservation as well as modern coaches and low-floor buses.

The main operator on the Isle of Wight is Southern Vectis, but some of its short-lived competitors such as Westbrook Travel and Wight Bus are also depicted. Mainland operators featured include Brighton & Hove, Southdown, Southern National, Wilts & Dorset, and Bournemouth’s Yellow Buses.
