Mike Rhodes has put together this pictorial survey of 80 of the existing and now closed bus stations across the North West, covering Cheshire, Cumbria, Greater Manchester, the Isle of Man, Lancashire and Merseyside.

Locations featured range from the major cities of Liverpool and Manchester to seaside and small country towns such as Blackpool and Windermere. The images are mostly colour and date from between the 1970s and the present day, with a few older black & white images dating back to the 1950s also included. A good variety of vehicles are illustrated, including single and double deck buses, minibuses and coaches. The size, style and character of the bus stations featured is also very varied, from large interchanges to small, minimalist facilities consisting of just two bus stops in a layby.

Contains around 200 mostly colour photographs, presented in two-per-page format, each accompanied by captions. 96 pages.
