Royston Morris has compiled this illustrated guide to preserved first generation trams in Britain, covering horse, steam, cable, gas, petrol, battery and electric trams located at a number of museum sites across the country including both working examples and static exhibits.

Each method of propulsion is covered in a separate chapter, with only one surviving gas tram featured while electric traction has the largest number of vehicles preserved. The photos are arranged two per page with detailed captions. There are also chapters on Blackpool’s heritage tram fleet, electric trailer cars, overseas trams preserved in Britain, grounded tram bodies, and trams restored to operational condition from other uses such as hen houses and static caravans.

180 colour photos. 96 pages.
