David Granger, one of the founders of Kilwinning-based independent operator Shuttle Buses, has put together this album of photos of the buses operated by his company during its first 30 years of existence.
There are separate chapters covering the 1990s, 2000s and 2010s, with the first few pages being dominated by Ford Transit minibuses which formed the mainstay of the company’s fleet in its first few years. Other vehicles featured include Mercedes 709Ds and 811Ds, Metroriders, Bluebird Tucanas, Optare Solos, and Volvo B9R Plaxton Panther and Caetano Algarve 2 coaches. In the 1990s Shuttle Buses also had a small number of double deck buses including ex-London Leyland Fleetlines and an East Lancs bodied Leyland Olympian.
