Author Andrew Jeffery has put together this album of high quality colour photographs illustrating the route of the preserved North Yorkshire Moors Railway. As a member of the railway's motive power department, he was able to access locations not available to the general public.

Photographs take the reader on a journey along the line from Pickering to Whitby and also back along the line towards Middlesbrough as far as Battersby, the limit of where NYMR trains can operate.

Photographs are presented in one-per-page format with a caption underneath each image. A wide selection of the railway's motive power is illustrated, along with several images of visiting locomotives and main line trains.
