Lines from Waterloo is a colour album of photographs produced by Roger Palmer. The images show the railway lines commencing from Waterloo which occupy a triangular area with London at its apex, Portsmouth in the east and a direct line or railway along the southern flank reaching Weymouth in the west, with Exeter being included as well.

The photographs roughly cover the period immediately before railways were taken out of the public sector and continue into the middle of the 2020s. The scenes not only display railway operations, but also show how the immediate topography has subtly changed over nearly 30 years. They also illustrate how the trains themselves have changed, from the abandonment of slam-door stock to more modern units with sliding or plug doors, some of which have themselves come and gone.

86 colour photographs. Hardback. 80 pages.
