A collection of photos of diesel locos taken by railway photographer Ken Chadwick, mostly dating from between the late 1970s and the mid-1980s.

At the front there are photos of the four different cameras that the author has owned, and there are then chapters on each class of diesel loco to have operated in the British Rail era from Class 01 to Class 60 followed by the prototype and production series HSTs.

Each chapter starts with a brief history of the class. Most of the photos are colour but a few black & white images are also included. 176 pages.
