An album of black & white photographs illustrating the railways which ran through the North Yorkshire Moors. The seaside town of Whitby was connected by four railway routes at one time, with trains running towards Scarborough, Middlesbrough, Loftus and Pickering.

All but the line to Middlesbrough were closed under the Beeching Report of 1963, with the line from Grosmont to Pickering being preserved and now operating as a heritage railway.

This book contains black & white photographs taken between the late 1940s and the 1960s of railways around the North Yorkshire Moors. Photographs are presented in one-per-page format, with a detailed caption accompanying each photograph. 64 pages.
