CSX Transportation came into existence in 1980 when Seaboard Coast Lines and Chessie System merged, leading to a system of over 20,000 miles of route covering 24 states. The CSX network covers much of the industrial north-east of the USA, as well as stretching north into Quebec and south as far as Florida.

This book contains a series of recent colour photographs of CSX trains operating around the southern part of the company's area, including Florida, Georgia and Alabama. Photographs include CSX locomotives and routes, as well as some images of Amtrak trains operating on CSX tracks.

Photographs are presented in one-per-page format, with a caption accompanying each photograph. An introduction to CSX and its operations is also included. 96 pages.
