The second volume of a comprehensive history of the DR’s Class V300 (later Class 132/232) locomotives which were imported from the Soviet Union during the 1970s and 1980s. Over 870 of these locomotives were purchased by DR and many remain in service today, despite initial reliability problems, with both DB AG and private operators in Germany and other European countries.

This second volume looks in detail at the working lives of the locomotives with both DR and DB AG, as well as covering locomotives which have been sold to private operators or exported following retirement from DB AG. Details of locomotives allocated to each depot are included, along with information about duties preformed by the locomotives at each depot. Also contains a number of chapters covering accidents involving the locomotives and a series of tables of information about the locomotives.
