£14.95
In Stock

This EK Special takes a look at passenger and freight traffic around Mühldorf (Upper Bavaria) in the far south-east corner of Germany through the ages from the early days of railways to the present day.

The first chapter describes the development of the rail network in the area during the 19th and early 20th century, with subsequent chapters on the evolution of passenger and freight services and the town’s traction and maintenance depot. The last few decades have been dominated by Class 218 diesel-hauled trains and Class 628 DMUs, both of which feature prominently in this publication, and the most recent photos depict their modern replacements such as Class 245 diesel locos and Class 640 DMUs.

Superbly-illustrated throughout with around 150 colour and 50 black & white photographs. German text. 98 pages.
