Wien's Nordbahnhof has long been admired for its architectural style and magnificent decoration since it opened in 1865. Following extensive damage during the final year of World War 2, the station was left in ruins and finally demolished in 1965.

This new edition of Franz Haas' book documents the history of the station from its beginnings in 1838, through to the redevelopment of the area. A short history of Wien Nordbahnhof is followed by a series of archive black & white photographs and sketches illustrating the station and its surroundings between the mid-19th century and the present day.

Each image is accompanied by a caption and photographs are arranged in chapters each covering a period of the station's history. First published 2006, this 5th edition published 2022. German text. 128 pages.
