A comprehensive history of the depot at Nossen, located in the Saxony region of Germany, on the line between Dresden and Leipzig. Routes to Freiberg and Riese leave the main line at Nossen.

Nossen depot opened in 1923 and locomotives from the depot largely operated passenger and freight trains originating in Nossen. From the 1970s, narrow gauge locomotives were also housed at the depot, following the closure of the narrow gauge depot at Mügeln.

Later, diesel locomotives took over from steam and Class 106, 110 and 112 diesel locomotives were based at Nossen.

This book traces the history of the depot and looks in detail at the workings carried out by locomotives based there. Well-illustrated with over 350 black & white photographs and timetable extracts. German text. Hardback. 224 pages.
