Railway photographer Stuart Fowler has compiled this selection of his photographs from across the north of England and Scotland taken during a 21-year timespan from 2004 to 2025, featuring all liveries and all locomotive and unit classes to be seen during this period.
The photographs are arranged in a one-per-page format with each being accompanied by a detailed caption. Chapter 1 covers North West England including the West Coast Main Line and the Settle & Carlisle and Cumbrian Coast routes. Subsequent chapters cover Western, Central and Eastern Scotland and, lastly, the Highlands.
A variety of passenger, freight and steam and diesel hauled charter trains are depicted, and the Bo’ness & Kinneil and Strathspey heritage railways are also featured. Hardback. Approximately 140 colour photographs. 144 pages.
