Following on from his series on the railways of North East Lincolnshire during the steam era, author Paul King here turns his attention to the diesel era which followed the demise of steam.
The book consists of over 400 black & white photographs of railways of North East Lincolnshire during the diesel era, covering the period from the 1950s, where steam and diesel both operated, to the end of the 20th century.
Photographs are arranged in chapters, each covering a locomotive type or period in time. Each chapter contains a short piece of text introducing the chapter, followed by a series of black & white images, each accompanied by detailed captions. Photographs include many types of diesel motive power which have since been withdrawn. 144 pages.
