The third volume in a trilogy of books that explore the many fascinating styles of station to be found on the world-famous London Underground network.
There are seven 'tube' lines and this book covers all the stations on three of these deep-level lines:
- Northern Line
- Piccadilly Line
- Victoria Line
The book starts with a brief description of the 'tube' network and its development, and then takes a ride along each of the three lines. Stations range from busy central London interchanges to quiet suburban stations, these are all are illustrated in full colour and have short captions relating to each station's history and design. At the back of the book there is a station index, and two maps covering Greater London and Central London show these lines in the context of the Greater London rail network.
