This book contains a series of archive black & white photographs illustrating the former London & South Western Railway M7 steam locomotives throughout their working lives. First introduced in 1897, over 100 examples were built over the next 12 years.
Although initially LSWR locomotives, the class passed onto the Southern Railway and later to British Railways, with the final locomotives only being withdrawn in the mid-1960s and all but one being transferred to British Railways ownership in 1948.
This book contains a series of archive black & white photographs of the class throughout their lives, as well as number of recollections from people who worked with the locomotives. Hardback. 152 pages.
