This book, written by David Pendleton and illustrated by Gavin Morrison, traces the route of the Thames-Clyde Express - a named train, covering a distance of over 400 miles between London St Pancras and Glasgow.

The last traditional Thames-Clyde Express ran in 1975, but the coverage of this book does not end there, with route descriptions and recent colour photographs being included of trains working on the lines once covered by the Thames-Clyde Express.

Through the text and photographs, this book is a journey in words and pictures along the route from St Pancras, through the East Midlands, Yorkshire and over the iconic Settle to Carlisle line, before heading north into Scotland. The book is presented as a northbound journey along the route, with the words and pictures describing and illustrating the journey.

Hardback. 128 pages.
