North East Steam 1948-1968 features high quality images of steam locomotives around the region, including locations such as Darlington, Durham, Gateshead, Middlesbrough, Newcastle, Sunderland and Stockton. The photographs come from several well-known railway photographers and cover many of the Gresley, Thompson and Peppercorn designed locomotives, as well as other British Railways era designs.
