This book is an album of photographs of railways in Austria, taken between 1969 and 1978 by photographer Michael Weininger using his medium-format camera.
Starting in black & white in 1969, he soon transitioned to colour photography in the early-1970s, meaning the remainder of the book consists of colour photographs. Photographs illustrate the railways of Austria in a time when steam was rapidly being replaced by more modern motive power.
