Today there are only three trolleybus systems remaining in Germany; in Solingen, Esslingen and Ebeswalde. In the past, there were as many as 60 systems in towns and cities around Germany.
Over the years, these were gradually replaced with regular buses except in the three remaining cities. However, with environmental concerns increasing, the number of electric buses on the roads of Germany is increasing rapidly.
This DVD contains archive footage of trolleybuses around Germany, including on systems which have closed. Further footage covers the three existing systems and preserved trolleybuses. German commentary. 58 minutes running time.
