Buses: Another Life (Amberley)

Back Order

This book contains photographs of a variety of old buses and coaches which, at the end of their usual service life, have found further employment with so-called ‘Non-PSV’ users. Some will continue to carry passengers, perhaps as works transport or for a community group and others may be used for driver training. However, there are a number that will have been converted to fulfil a wide variety of roles – catering or hospitality vehicles; advertising promotional vehicles; ambulances; mobile homes; playbuses; horseboxes; vehicle transporters, and more.

Using his own, previously unpublished, photographs the author, Malcolm Batten, explores the many different roles these vehicles have carried out over the last fifty years. He accompanies each photograph with an informative caption. An introduction is also included. 180 colour and black & white photographs. 96 pages.
