This book contains photographs of a variety of old buses and coaches which, at the end of their usual service life, have found further employment with so-called ‘Non-PSV’ users. Some will continue to carry passengers, perhaps as works transport or for a community group and others may be used for driver training. However, there are a number that will have been converted to fulfil a wide variety of roles – catering or hospitality vehicles; advertising promotional vehicles; ambulances; mobile homes; playbuses; horseboxes; vehicle transporters, and more.
Using his own, previously unpublished, photographs the author, Malcolm Batten, explores the many different roles these vehicles have carried out over the last fifty years.
