Absolutely Westerns is a colour album which has been compiled by Roger Geach, using images from The Transport Treasury Collection and text from the draft copy of a book by the late Peter Crawley. Roger has extended the original captions and, where more information as come to light, he has put in details on the workings. The photographs feature Western locomotives in their final years of BR service, from their workings on the Swansea to Leeds service to memorable moments at Plymouth, Reading, and Dawlish. Each photograph is accompanied by a detailed caption, and on the back cover is the image of a publicity leaflet issued by British Rail for the Western Tribute Farewell Special.
