North Sea Ferries was formed in 1965 and used purpose-built ferries to link northern England with Holland and Belgium. A strong marketing campaign and freight team led to the company growing at a rapid rate. In its heyday, the company operated car, passenger and freight traffic from Hull, Middlesbrough and Ipswich.

The company was acquired by P&O in 1996, which rebranded the vessels into its own corporate livery. The acquisition also coincided with the slow decline in the ferry services. This book looks at the history of North Sea Ferries, continuing the story to examine how P&O operated the acquired vessels.

Well-illustrated throughout with colour and black & white photographs and archive advertising material. Also includes a passenger vessel fleet list. 96 pages.
