In the latest volume of the popular Roadside series, Jim Blake examines the London Transport fleet minor types, in action between the mid-1960s and mid-1980s. During this period the customary fleet types encountered were the RT, RF and RM vehicles, but this volume ignores these commonplace buses and instead looks at the non-standard, small classes of bus and coach in operation. Classes like the RLH and GS were very much the exception to the rule in the heavily standardised fleet, until the new one-man-operated types being evaluated for the Reshaping Plan came on the scene, but by the mid-1980s only the surviving Routemasters remained from those years.

Once again Jim presents a fascinating collection of his own photographs, most of which have never been published before. Types featured include RLH, GS, XF, XA, RC, XMB, XMS, FS, MS, BS, MD, BL, DMO, A, V and H. Each picture is accompanied by a detailed caption.

Over 300 mainly black & white photographs. Hardback. 132 pages.
