2023 will be remembered as a more stable year for London buses than the previous year. Although cuts continued to sweep through a perennially cash-strapped Transport for London (TfL), including the withdrawal and/or rerouting of some long-established central London services, TfL stabilised its finances and there was even opportunity for expansion again.

The most significant development was in the outer suburbs, which saw a new ring of limited-stop express routes. Branded as Superloop, with a white and red livery, the first five of a planned ten routes aimed to enable faster links over established corridors.

As well as capturing the miscellany of buses’ odd workings to routes where they are not normally seen, the book also covers the myriad of classic bus running days carried out over the year, plus takes a look at the current state of open-top tourist services, explores the buses to be found around the edge of town and concludes with a look ahead to 2024.

Approximately 250 colour photographs. 96 pages.
