The Western Isles are formed of a chain of islands stretching from Lewis in the north down to Barra in the south. The largest two islands, Lewis and Harris are linked and are home to a large proportion of the population.

This book contains a series of colour photographs illustrating the buses which could be found operating on Lewis and Harris over the last few years. An introduction to the islands and their public transport system is followed by chapters containing photographs of vehicles used by each operator. Photographs are presented in two-per-page format with a caption accompanying each.

Buses on the Western Isles provides an up-to-date review of buses operating in one of Scotland's most scenic and remote locations. Operators covered include Bus Na Comhairle, Galson Motors, Hebridean Transport, Lochs Motor Transport and several smaller operators.
