This DVD contains historical and recent footage of the railway and tramway networks in and around the Hanseatic city of Rostock in Mecklenburg-Verpommern. The city is well known for its large port, which is situated at the point where the river Wernow flows into the Baltic Sea.

Six lines converge at Rostock’s main station, which is a sizeable structure comprising of 11 platforms. ICE and InterCity trains are regular visitors, as well as numerous RE and S-Bahn lines that make up the local rail operations. These are complemented by the city’s tramway network.
