In Line by Line: Scotland Neil Gibson celebrates the diversity of locomotives and traffic that can be found on Scotland’s railways.
An illustrated guide, it is made up of a collection of photographs taken by Neil over the period of 2000 to 2019. The images showcase both the beautiful scenery and the elegant engineering, documenting a variety of interesting rail traffic which will appeal to both local enthusiasts and those further afield.
The introduction is followed by a collection of previously unpublished images that reflect Neil’s keen eye for a great shot. The areas covered are the West Coast Main Line, Highland Main Line, East Coast Main Line, West Highland Line, Kyle, Mallaig, Oban and Central Scotland, all of which combine to produce this excellent record of the railways of Scotland.
Captions accompany the 180 colour photographs, the majority of which are displayed in two-per-page format. 96 pages.
