A collection of black & white photos of steam locos from across the Eastern, North Eastern and Scottish Regions taken by the late Keith Pirt, mostly dating from between the mid-1950s and early 1960s. Most of the photos have detailed captions and many of them were taken on the East Coast Main Line but several locations away from this major route are also depicted.
The photos are arranged by loco class in alphabetical order starting with the A1s and finishing with the Gresley V4s. These are followed by two Sentinels (despite S coming before V in the alphabet) and a Z4 0-4-2T in Aberdeen Docks. Illustrated with around 200 black & white photographs. 96 pages.
