A brief history of the line is followed by a selection of black & white photographs from the early years of the line. Black & white gives way to colour material as we follow the line’s restoration as a heritage operation from 1963 and chart the line’s progress through to the 21st century.
Most of the photographs concentrate on the locomotive fleet, but there are also images of trains in the landscape and some of railway buildings. Special events that have taken place down the years are also featured.
