A concise history of the former branch between Osterburg and Pretzier in eastern Germany.
The book starts with short descriptions of the towns along the route and the area’s industry and agriculture, followed by the construction, opening and operation of the railway until its closure in 1974. The book is illustrated with photos, maps, timetable extracts and copies of official documents. At the back there are descriptions of lines proposed but never built in the area, a full fleet list for locos and coaches used on the line, passenger and freight traffic statistics, and a full chronology of developments on the line.
