1 In Stock

An album of archive colour and black & white photographs illustrating the Bregenzerwaldbahn, which operated between Bregenz on Lake Constance and Bezau in Austria.

The scenic, non-electrified 760mm gauge line closed in 1983, with just a short 5km section at the Bezau end of the line remaining open today as a heritage railway.

This book contains a series of photographs looking at the route of the line and at the locomotives, coaches and other vehicles which operated on the line throughout its history. The first two-thirds of the book uses photographs to illustrate the route of the line, taking the reader on a journey from Bregenz to Bezau. The final section contains photographs of railway vehicles, as well as some images of flooding, landslides and accidents to affect the line.

German text. Hardback. 122 pages.
