An album of black & white photographs illustrating the line from Glasgow to Aberdeen, taken during the 1950s and 1960s. A brief introduction to the line, including a map and gradient profile, is followed by a selection of almost 200 black & white photographs of the line during steam days. Contains several photographs taken from 1962 onwards, when, rather unusually, steam was used to speed up services on the line. 128 pages.
