One in a series of titles examining closed railway lines around Wales and England, this volume covering the line which links Shrewsbury with Chester. Although both start and end points are in England, the line passes through parts of northeast Wales.
The book contains a short introduction to and history of the line, followed by a series of black & white photographs taken along the line, taken during the steam age. Each photograph is accompanied by a caption describing the subject and maps are also included.
