The South Wales Valleys have traditionally been something of a hotbed in terms of vehicle types and liveries in the passenger transport industry. Around the early 2000s, there was a concern among transport enthusiasts that this variety would decline due to the expansion of larger groups across the region, with their standardised vehicle types and corporate liveries.
There was no need for concern: looking back over the first two decades of the twenty-first century shows that there has been plenty of variety in and around the Valleys.
