Back Order

A superb album of photos of buses operated by the North Western Road Car Company between the 1950s and 1970s sourced from the collection of the Greater Manchester Museum of Transport.

The book starts with short histories of the company, and the rest of the pages are given over to photos. A good variety of vehicles are depicted, including Bristol K5Gs, L5Gs, REs and VRs, Leyland PD1s and PD2s Alexander bodied Leyland Atlanteans, and coaches such as Alexander Y-type Leyland Leopards and Duple Commanders. Also featured are some ancillary vehicles and buses in the liveries of NWRCC’s successor operators, SELNEC/Greater Manchester PTE orange/off-white and Crosville green.

96 pages. Appoximately 200 photos.
