An album of colour photos of low-floor buses that have operated in London since the first vehicles of this type entered service in the capital in 1994.
The book starts with a short introduction outlining the main designs of low-floor bus that have run in London since that date, and each photo has a detailed caption. London’s first low-floor buses were the Wrightbus Pathfinder model, and other vehicles featured include the Optar Solo midibus, the Alexander Dennis Trident, the Volvo B5LH, the Scania/East Lancs Olympus and of course the famous New Routemasters (a.k.a. New Bus for London, Boris Bus or Borismaster) and the ill-fated Mercedes-Benz Citaro G “bendy buses”.
As well as conventional diesel and hybrid buses, some electric and hydrogen fuel cell vehicles are also illustrated. 96 pages.
