A collection of high quality colour photographs of London’s famous Routemaster buses operating around the capital between 1976 and 1983. Although the Routemaster continued in service for many years afterwards, this period can perhaps be described as the heyday of the type. As well as the familiar red livery, the book includes several photographs of buses painted in special all-over silver livery for the Queen’s Silver Jubilee in 1977. An introduction describing London’s Transport’s use of Routemasters during this period is included and all photographs are accompanied by extensive captions, building into a informed narrative of the subject. 96 pages.
