This book contains a collection of photographs taken from 1974 to 2017 by the author, John Law, featuring a wide range of buses around the county of Lancashire. Back in the 1970s many municipalities in Lancashire operated their own buses and these provided a great variety of vehicles and liveries. Most of the council-owned companies were eventually sold off leaving just Blackpool, with its large bus fleet and tram system. For many years the main bus operator in Lancashire was Ribble Motor Services and until 1986, with the deregulation of the bus industry, there were very few independents running stage services in the county. The introduction gives details of road transport in Lancashire over the years. The author has included a small number of Blackpool Transport tram images. Colour and black & white photographs are accompanied by captions. 96 pages.
