The twelfth volume in this comprehensive series of books containing colour and black & white photographs of trams in and around Berlin, taken during the 1960s. This volume examines lines 75/76 and line 82.
Line 75/76 operated from Bahnhof Zoo in the centre of Berlin to Spandau, sharing the same tracks for the vast majority of the way before diverging within Spandau. Line 82 covered a route from Walter-Ulbricht-Stadion to Mahlsdorf-Süd via Alexanderplatz.
The book is presented in one photograph per page format, with extensive caption detail providing information about the route and the trams in use. Nearly all the photographs in this volume are reproduced in black & white, accompanied by a handful of colour photos and colour route maps.
Mit der Strassenbahn durch das Berlin der 60er Jahre Band 12 uses quite rare photographic material to illustrate several tram types that have long since disappeared. It also captures a city environment that is very different to that of today. German text. 96 pages. Hardback.
