This book takes the reader on a journey around Berlin by S-Bahn during the 1980s and 1990s; a period of great change in the city with the fall of the Berlin Wall. Over 150 high-quality colour photographs illustrate S-Bahn lines around Berlin and the surrounding areas, covering the divided and reunified network in the East and West of the city.
The book contains a short introduction to Berlin’s S-Bahn, followed by chapters covering each of the main S-Bahn lines including the Stadtbahn, Ringbahn, Nordsüd-S-Bahn and lines reaching out from the city towards Wannsee, Erkner, Oranienburg and Spandau.
Each chapter consists of a short introduction and a series of colour photographs, many of which are presented in full page format with a caption at the foot of the page. German text. Hardback. 152 pages.
