The first half of Schienenverkehr an Mosel und Saar is presented as a journey along the routes from Koblenz to Trier, Trier to Saarbrucken, Trier to Luxembourg, plus a handful of branch lines and the route towards France. The next chapters look at freight traffic and the locomotive depots that serve the area.
The final sections of the book look at celebrity locomotives that have graced the area, museum operations and recent plandampf events.
