On 1 October 1995, the Mecklenburgische Bäderbahn Molli became the first non-federally owned railway in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern after being sold off from the DB Group. 25 years have passed since then, and the privatisation has been a resounding success story. A new operating concept has been implemented and the railway has been renovated, redesigned, repaired and rebuilt. Even a completely new steam locomotive has been procured!

EK-Themen 60: Molli: Erfolg unter Dampf looks back over the eventful last 25 years in words and pictures, including a short detour back in time to when the narrow-gauge railway was created. It shows how the historical importance of the line has formed the basis for the new railway. The operating facilities, buildings and vehicles are in pristine condition today and the Molli is a major provider of tourist-oriented local transport services using historic vehicles, all-year-round.
