Die badische Hochrheinstrecke: Von Basel zum Bodensee (Sutton)

Back Order

This is a fascinating collection of present day and archive photos of trains on the badische Hochrheinstrecke between Basel and Konstanz via Schaffhausen and Radolfzell. Chapters covering the Basel–Erzingen and Ezringen–Konstanz sections of the route begin with a short description of the section in question. Steam-hauled trains feature in several the 1960s photos, and some more recent steam specials are also included. Diesel-hauled trains, such as Class 212 and 218 passenger and Class 290 freight workings are covered, along with more recent DMUs, mainly Class 611 and 612 tilting units (the latter including examples in DB red and the special yellow and two-tone grey livery for Baden-Württemberg). Photographs of some Swiss EMUs are also included, and electric loco-hauled trains on the electrified Radolfzell–Konstanz section. Colour and Black & White photographs. German text. Hardback. 120 pages.
