An illustrated history of the Tegernsee Bahn, which operates between Schaftlach and Tegernsee in the Bavarian Alps. Author, Stefan Wittich, has compiled a collection of around 150 photographs and documents from the period from 1883 to 2020, showing how the picturesque line has evolved through time.
The images show a representative selection of steam and diesel traction, including steam specials and unusual workings that have taken place along the line. A map of the route is included, plus timetable extracts from various points in history and other period reproductions.
